Questions about the literacy and numeracy review
Can it support Year 12 exam accommodations?
Yes. The review is often used to prepare a school-based application for special examination accommodations in Year 12 ATAR exams. The school makes the application, and the exam authority decides whether to approve it.
Do we need a GP referral?
No. Parents can contact Psychology House directly. Referrals from GPs, school psychologists, psychiatrists, paediatricians and other health professionals are also welcome.
Does Medicare cover it?
Psychological and educational assessments are generally not covered by Medicare, even with a GP mental health plan. Some private health insurers cover parts of the process, so check with yours.
